NEW YORK, Nov 02 (V7N) — With Election Day approaching, the New York City mayoral race is tightening as voter preferences continue to shift. According to the latest Atlas Intel poll, current Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani remains in the lead, but former Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa are rapidly closing the gap.

The poll shows Mamdani with 41 percent support, Cuomo at 34 percent, and Sliwa at 24 percent. The margin among the three candidates has narrowed to just seven points, highlighting the increasing competitiveness of the race.

Meanwhile, the RealClearPolitics average still shows Mamdani in a relatively comfortable position, with 45 percent support compared to Cuomo’s 31 percent and Sliwa’s 17 percent. However, the Atlas poll indicates that a significant portion of voters remains undecided, leaving the outcome uncertain in the final days of the campaign.

Campaigning on Saturday in Brighton Beach, Cuomo remarked, “Curtis Sliwa cannot win, but he can help Zohran Mamdani win.” Sliwa, for his part, argued that New Yorkers are seeking an alternative to “radical left policies” and positioned himself as that voice.

Progressive circles continue to view Mamdani as a symbol of hope and change. His campaign team emphasized, “New York is ready for transformation.”

Early voting has already begun, with the official Election Day set for Tuesday. In the remaining days, the candidates’ final efforts on the campaign trail will likely determine who will occupy Gracie Mansion as the next mayor of New York City.
