Tel Aviv, Mar 02 (V7N) — Israeli forces have launched a military offensive against the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah, marking a fresh escalation in regional tensions.

Israel’s military chief Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said the operation could continue for several days, signaling the possibility of prolonged clashes.

“We have launched an attack against Hezbollah. Now we are going on the offensive,” he said.
“We must be prepared for days of fighting. We must maintain strong defenses and continuous offensive readiness,” he added.

The new operation adds another layer to the already volatile situation across the Middle East, where multiple fronts have seen rising hostilities in recent days.

Military analysts warn that continued fighting could heighten risks for civilians living in border areas and potentially widen the scope of the conflict if retaliatory attacks intensify.
