Beirut, July 31 (V7N)- Israel carried out a series of powerful overnight explosions across southern Lebanon, with blasts and tremors felt across several districts, Al Jazeera reported on Friday (July 31), citing Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA).
According to the report, the explosions struck the southern Lebanese areas of Yohmor al-Shaqif, Arnun and Kafar Tebnit, with shockwaves reaching as far as Al-Kharrub and Khaldeh.
In the Marjayoun district, a powerful explosion near the historic Beaufort fortress shattered windows and damaged homes in the nearby town of Qala.
Residents told NNA that the blasts caused strong tremors throughout the region, while the smell of gunpowder lingered in the air after the explosions.
