Iran's Revolutionary Guard has seized an Israeli ship near the Strait of Hormuz, adding to the escalating tensions between the two nations. The seizure occurred following heightened threats of retaliation from Iran after an attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria, on April 1.

Video footage released to the media depicts Iranian commandos conducting a helicopter raid on the ship in the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz. The incident comes amidst reports suggesting an imminent Iranian attack on Israel, with US intelligence sources indicating a potential strike within the next 24 to 48 hours.

The attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus resulted in the death of seven officers, including a senior commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). While Israel has not claimed responsibility for the attack, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed that Israel must face consequences.

In addition to the seizure of the Israeli ship, reports have surfaced alleging that Lebanon's Hezbollah has launched attacks on various Israeli military installations. These developments further escalate tensions in the already volatile region.
