Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his third consecutive term on Sunday evening. Leaders from Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal, Mauritius, and Seychelles are also expected to attend the event.

Over 8,000 dignitaries will witness the ceremony, followed by a banquet hosted by Indian President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Sheikh Hasina's visit to New Delhi includes a private meeting with Modi after the oath-taking ceremony. She arrived in New Delhi on a special flight and was received by officials from the Indian External Affairs Ministry and the Bangladesh High Commission.

During her stay, Sheikh Hasina will also attend a dinner hosted by the Bangladesh High Commissioner to India. She is scheduled to return to Dhaka on Monday evening.

Modi's BJP-led NDA won 293 seats in the recent Lok Sabha elections, while the opposition secured 234 seats. Sheikh Hasina was one of the first foreign leaders to congratulate Modi on his victory, highlighting the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.
