Sana, Sep 16 (V7N) – Yemeni Defense Minister Mohammad Nasser al-Atafi has issued a stark warning to the US and British coalition forces, stating that the coming days will bring unexpected surprises for their enemies. Speaking on behalf of Yemen's National Salvation Government, al-Atafi promised that Yemen's response will be a nightmare, posing serious threats to the coalition's safety.

"We are warning our enemies that the coming days will bring surprises for them that they cannot even expect," al-Atafi said, as reported by Perstood News. His remarks come amidst increasing tensions in the region, with Yemen ramping up its defensive efforts against external forces.

This warning follows the United Nations Security Council's adoption of Resolution 2722 on January 10 last year, proposed by the United States and Japan, which targeted Yemen's Ansarullah movement. The resolution passed without clearly identifying the primary reason for attacks in the Red Sea region. A day later, forces from eight nations, including the US and the UK, launched attacks on Ansarullah positions in Yemen.

In addition, Israel, with apparent backing from Washington, has escalated its military aggression in Gaza. This prompted a fierce reaction from Yemen, with its military vowing to attack any ships bound for Israel in retaliation for the ongoing strikes against Palestinians.

The Yemeni army has promised to continue these attacks until Israel ceases its operations in Gaza, showing solidarity with the Palestinian people and intensifying the geopolitical stakes in the region.

As the situation develops, it is clear that Yemen’s military leadership is prepared to take bold actions, potentially expanding the scope of the conflict in both the Red Sea and beyond. The international community watches closely as the potential for further escalation looms.
