New York, Sep 28 (V7N) – Chief Adviser to the Government of Bangladesh, Nobel laureate and renowned social entrepreneur, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has concluded his participation at the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. He is now en route to Bangladesh, having departed from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and heading to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. Following a series of high-level discussions and meetings during the UNGA, including his address at the US-Bangladesh Business Council, Dr. Yunus has embarked on his return journey from JFK Airport.

During the UNGA, Dr. Yunus tackled critical global issues such as poverty, inequality, and climate change, advocating for sustainable solutions through social business and entrepreneurial initiatives. In his speech at the US-Bangladesh Business Council on September 26, he stressed the need for stronger economic ties between Bangladesh and the United States, emphasizing enhanced cooperation in areas such as healthcare, technology, and clean energy.

As Dr. Yunus heads back to Bangladesh, his advocacy for social business continues to resonate globally, inspiring leaders and organizations to refocus efforts on empowering marginalized communities through innovative and sustainable business models.
