Washington, Oct 17, (V7N) - During a Fox News town hall with an all-female audience, former President Donald Trump proclaimed himself "the father of IVF," responding to questions about reproductive rights. This statement comes amid his struggle to connect with female voters, as recent polls show Vice President Kamala Harris leading significantly among them.

Trump's comments highlighted the ongoing national discussion surrounding in vitro fertilization (IVF) and abortion, particularly following a controversial Alabama Supreme Court ruling. He emphasized his support for IVF access and claimed that his administration would cover costs for those seeking the procedure if he were reelected.

Despite addressing reproductive issues, Trump also reiterated his stance against his political opponents, whom he dubbed "the enemy from within." He controversially suggested that unrest after the upcoming election could be managed with military force if necessary.

Vice President Harris and other Democrats quickly criticized Trump's remarks, pointing out contradictions in his stance on abortion and state rights. Harris noted that while Trump speaks in favor of IVF, he also supports states’ rights to impose restrictions on abortion.

Trump, facing multiple criminal indictments, maintains a strong presence in the 2024 election race, even as he prepares for sentencing related to a separate legal case.
