Atlanta, GA, Oct 21, (V7N) — On Sunday, Vice President Kamala Harris will celebrate her 60th birthday with two church visits in Georgia, focusing on rallying early voters. Meanwhile, her Republican rival, former President Donald Trump, plans to spend time at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania.

As both candidates intensify their efforts just 16 days before the Nov. 5 election, Harris is set to leverage her birthday festivities to engage with voters. After a star-studded weekend featuring appearances from Lizzo and Usher, she will be joined by music legend Stevie Wonder during her church visits. Harris, alongside her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, will promote the "Souls to the Polls" initiative, utilizing gospel performances and community leaders to mobilize voter turnout.

Harris will speak at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Stonecrest, about 30 miles east of Atlanta, and later at Divine Faith Ministries International in Jonesboro. Both events aim to energize congregations to exercise their voting rights. After her church activities, Harris will record an interview with civil rights leader Al Sharpton for MSNBC.

In contrast, Trump, who has ramped up personal attacks on Harris, will be making a spectacle of his day by working at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania, where he plans to humorously take on the role of a fry cook. Trump has stated that his visit is just “for fun,” adding a competitive edge to the already tight race, particularly in crucial states like Pennsylvania and Michigan.

With polling indicating a neck-and-neck race, both candidates are focusing heavily on areas with strong voter bases. Harris aims to replicate President Joe Biden’s successes in predominantly non-white cities like Detroit and Atlanta, while Trump seeks to solidify his position among undecided voters.
