Sept 28, V7N- Borussia Dortmund staged an impressive 4-2 comeback victory against VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga on Friday, with a brace from Serhou Guirassy playing a pivotal role in overturning an early two-goal deficit. Despite the win, coach Nuri Şahin emphasized the need for defensive improvements to avoid similar setbacks in the future.

Dortmund came into the match with concerns after a heavy 5-1 loss to VfB Stuttgart in their previous fixture. Bochum capitalized on Dortmund's defensive frailties, quickly taking a 2-0 lead in the first half. Şahin expressed his frustration with the team's defensive performance, acknowledging how close they came to conceding a third goal.

"We defended very poorly, and it could have been 3-0. We need to develop quickly in this area, especially defending deep," Şahin stated in the post-match press conference.

The turning point in the game was Guirassy's influence, as he headed in a crucial goal before halftime and added another in the second half. Şahin was full of praise for the new signing, not only for his goals but for his leadership on and off the field.

Dortmund’s win temporarily places them second in the Bundesliga with 10 points, two behind leaders Bayern Munich. The team now prepares for a Champions League clash against Celtic on Tuesday, followed by a Bundesliga match against Union Berlin.
