Oct 12, V7N- Sanju Samson led a devastating display of power-hitting as India posted an imposing 297-6 in the third and final T20I against Bangladesh in Hyderabad. This marks the second-highest total in T20 internationals and the highest against a Test-playing nation, also setting a new record for India’s highest T20 score.

Samson blazed his way to a maiden century, scoring 111 off just 47 balls, hitting 11 fours and eight sixes. Notably, five of those sixes came in a single over against Bangladesh's leg-spinner Rishad Hossain. Captain Suryakumar Yadav contributed a blistering 75 off 35 balls, combining with Samson for a massive 173-run partnership off 69 balls for the second wicket, leaving Bangladesh struggling to contain the onslaught.

After their dismissals, Hardik Pandya (47 off 18) and Ryan Parag (34 off 13) continued the carnage, pushing India close to the 300-run mark. Although Tanzim Hasan Sakib managed two wickets in the final over to keep India under 300, the damage was already done. Sakib took 3 wickets but conceded 66 runs, the most by any Bangladeshi bowler in a T20I.

Bangladesh's bowlers were largely ineffective, with Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman also leaking over 50 runs each. In total, India smashed 25 fours and 22 sixes, thoroughly dominating Bangladesh’s bowling attack and making a steep chase inevitable for the visitors.
