Oct 17, V7N- World number one Iga Świątek has announced the addition of Belgian coach Wim Fissette to her team. Fissette, who has previously worked with top players like Naomi Osaka, Kim Clijsters, and Victoria Azarenka, joins Świątek following her recent split with coach Tomasz Wiktorowski earlier this month. Wiktorowski had been with Świątek since 2022 and played a key role in four of her five Grand Slam victories, including three French Open titles.

"I'm thrilled to share that Wim Fissette is joining our team," Świątek posted on social media platform X. "While I’m preparing for the WTA Finals, my focus remains long-term, as I’ve always viewed my career as a marathon, not a sprint. I'm excited to work with Wim, who brings great attitude, vision, and top-level experience. We’re off to a great start, and I’m looking forward to competing soon."
