Vigo, Oct 20 (V7N)- Real Madrid secured a 2-1 victory against Celta Vigo in a thrilling La Liga encounter held on Saturday at Celta Vigo’s home ground. The win was powered by goals from French star Kylian Mbappé and Brazilian forward Vinícius Júnior, while Swedish midfielder Williot Swedberg scored the lone goal for the hosts.

Mbappé opened the scoring in the 20th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error by Celta Vigo. After the home side lost possession deep in their own half, Mbappé seized the opportunity and fired a powerful shot from 30 yards out, netting his sixth goal of the tournament. Real Madrid went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.

Celta Vigo responded early in the second half, equalizing in the 51st minute. Oscar Mingueza delivered a perfect cross from the right wing, and Williot Swedberg struck a clinical right-footed shot to bring the score to 1-1.

Real Madrid's coach, Carlo Ancelotti, made crucial substitutions in the 63rd minute, bringing on Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga in place of Luka Modrić and Rodrygo. Modrić made an immediate impact, setting up the winning goal just three minutes after entering the pitch. The Croatian maestro delivered a precise through pass, which Vinícius Júnior expertly converted with a close-range finish despite a challenge from the Celta goalkeeper.

Despite several attempts by Celta to find a late equalizer, Real Madrid's defense held firm, securing the victory.

With this win, Real Madrid moves to second place in the La Liga table, amassing 24 points from 10 matches. Barcelona remains at the top, also with 24 points but with a game in hand.
