Nov 29 (V7N)- Chelsea continued their dominant form in the UEFA Conference League, securing a 2-0 victory over German club Heidenheim at the Voith Arena on Thursday (November 28). With this win, Chelsea have triumphed in all four of their matches in the tournament, sitting comfortably at the top of the group with 12 points. Legia Warsaw trails in second place, also with 12 points but behind on goal difference.
The match remained goalless in the first half, with both teams creating opportunities but failing to capitalize. Chelsea broke the deadlock shortly after the restart, as Christopher Nkunku scored in the 51st minute to put the visitors ahead.
Chelsea sealed the victory in the 86th minute with a second goal from Mikhail Mudryk. Despite being reduced to 10 men after Cesar Casadei received a red card in stoppage time, the Blues held on to secure a clean sheet and an important away win.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca's tactical adjustments were evident as the team controlled possession and created consistent chances in the second half. His leadership has been instrumental in Chelsea’s flawless run in the competition so far.
Chelsea's next Conference League fixture promises to be another test of their mettle as they aim to continue their winning streak and solidify their position as group leaders.
