Kingstown, Dec 16, (V7N) - In the first match of the T20 series against the West Indies, Bangladesh was put to bat after losing the toss. The match is being held at Kingstown in Saint Vincent, with the game starting at 6 AM Bangladesh time.
Despite losing the toss, stand-in captain Litton Das expressed confidence after inspecting the pitch. He mentioned that it looked good, and he felt a total of 180 runs would be a competitive score. However, he pointed out that the pitch was different from the ones seen during the T20 World Cup, noting that this surface was an exception. Bangladesh had previously played their three highest-profile matches in the World Cup at Saint Vincent last June. They won two matches but were eliminated after losing to Afghanistan, which ended their tournament run.
Now, just a few months later, the Bangladesh team returns to the same venue to play a T20 series.
