DHAKA, Jan 12, (V7N) – Bangladesh selectors have made bold changes to their 15-man squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, dropping out-of-form opener Litton Das and handing a maiden ICC tournament call-up to young pacer Nahid Rana.

The squad, announced on Sunday, notably omits pacer Hasan Mahmud, while opting for a pace-heavy attack featuring four seamers.

Litton Das was dropped due to his prolonged batting struggles, with his last half-century dating back to the 2023 ODI World Cup against India. In his last seven innings, he failed to score beyond six runs.

In contrast, 21-year-old Nahid Rana has been rewarded for his promising domestic performances, earning his first opportunity on the global stage.
