Bangi, Dec 18 (V7N)— Bangladesh kicked off their campaign in the Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup with a convincing 5-wicket victory over Nepal in their opening Group 'D' match.
Nepal, batting first after losing the toss, were bundled out for just 52 runs. The Tigresses chased down the target in 13.2 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. The match was held at the Bangi Stadium in Malaysia.
Bangladesh’s bowlers dominated Nepal's batting lineup, ensuring a modest target for the team. Despite losing early wickets, the Junior Tigresses secured the win with ease.
Bangladesh will face Australia in their second group-stage match on January 20, followed by a clash with Scotland on January 22.
