Dhaka, Mar 11 (V7N) –Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed is in a league of his own in terms of getting a new Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) contract as the 29-year-old was the only player named in the A+ category which pays the most.

The BCB announced announced that 22 players received national playing contracts for 2025 and sorted the players into five categories with different pay grades.
Taskin will bank Tk 10 lakh monthly -- the highest, while the lowest slab will see Nasum Ahmed and Khaled Ahmed will make Tk 2 lakhs per month.
Players in A category -- Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, and Liton Das -- will get Tk 8 lakhs a month, while Tk 6 lakhs will be given to Mominul Islam, Taijul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Tohid Hridoy, Hasan Mahmud, and Nahid Rana -- all of whom were placed in B category.
Mushfiqur Rahim, who announced his retirement from ODIs, was placed in Grade B, while Mahmudullah was nor considered for a new contract upon his own request.
