In a recent development related to the betting app case, two additional individuals, Girish Talreja and Suraj Chokhani, were arrested by the Enforcement Directorate. They are reportedly associated with Hari Shankar Tibrewal, a promoter of the Mahadev app and a hawala operator based in Dubai.

During raids on Tibrewal's premises, it was discovered that he owned and operated the illegal betting website "skyexchange" and invested the betting proceeds in the Indian Stock Market through Dubai-based entities.

Chokhani, a close associate, invested Tibrewal's funds in stocks and also invested in an app called 11wicket.com in Bangladesh, where one of his partners is Janatul Hasan, sister of cricketer Shakib Al Hasan.

Additionally, Chokhani invested Rs40 crores in Deltin Casino Kathmandu in Nepal and held a significant stake in the casino, funded by proceeds from illegal activities through Lotus 365 and Mahadev book app.

Further investigations revealed that Talreja is involved in the operations of Lotus365, a sister concern of Mahadev Online Book, and holds stakes along with others in illegal operations.

The Enforcement Directorate recovered Rs1 crore in cash during the raids, and movable properties worth Rs1764.5 crore have been frozen under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Prior to these arrests, nine individuals had been apprehended, and in January, two more individuals, Nitin Tibrewal and Amit Agrawal, were arrested in connection with the case.

The Mahadev app case involves a high-profile scandal related to illegal gambling on various games, including cricket. The app operated through franchising, enrolling new users, creating IDs, and laundering money through a complex network of Benami bank accounts, reportedly generating Rs200 crore daily.

The operation was led by Dubai-based Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, both originally from Chhattisgarh.
