Abahani Limited and Prime Bank Cricket Club both secured their second consecutive victories in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League (DPL), triumphing over their opponents with ease in matches held at various venues across the city.

Abahani Limited showcased a dominant performance, with Sabbir Hossain leading the charge by smashing an impressive 98 runs off 80 balls, featuring 10 fours and four sixes. Supported by Jaker Ali Anik's unbeaten 76 off 48 balls and Mahmudul Hasan Joy's 73 runs, Abahani Limited posted a formidable total of 310 runs for the loss of four wickets. In response, Gazi Tyres Cricket Academy faced a daunting revised target of 310 runs in 40 overs due to a rain delay. However, they could only manage to score 163-9 in their allotted overs, with Tahjibul Islam top-scoring with 58 runs.

Meanwhile, Prime Bank Cricket Club showcased an exceptional batting display, with openers Shahadat Hossain Dipu and Parvez Hossain Emon both scoring centuries. Emon hammered 151 runs off 129 balls, including nine fours and eight sixes, while Dipu contributed 119 runs off 111 balls. Prime Bank amassed a commanding total of 380-4 in 49 overs. Brothers Union, in response, struggled to chase the target and were restricted to 215-9, with Najmul Apu and Sunzamul Islam taking three wickets each to dismantle their batting lineup.

In an upset victory, Shinepukur Cricket Club defeated Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club by six wickets at BKSP-3 ground. Despite posting a competitive total of 237-7, with Nurul Hasan Sohan top-scoring with 80 runs, Sheikh Jamal couldn't defend their target against Shinepukur's strong batting lineup. Riding on half-centuries from Khalid Hasan, Marshall Ayub, and captain Akbar Ali, Shinepukur successfully chased down the target in 44.5 overs, finishing at 238-4.
