The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has revealed the final 15-member squad for the crucial 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka, set to take place on Monday at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

Opener Litton Kumer Das has been omitted from the squad, making way for the inclusion of uncapped wicket-keeper-batsman Jaker Ali Anik.

The series is currently level at 1-1 after Sri Lanka clinched a three-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the previous match.

Gazi Ashraf Hossain, Chairman of the National Selection Panel, elaborated on the decision, stating, "With the series hanging in the balance, we believe Jaker Ali’s addition will provide the team with more options and flexibility in the middle order."

"Considering Litton's recent performance in white-ball cricket, we opted for this change, mindful of the availability of two other capable openers within the squad."

Jaker Ali, 26 years old, has shown promise in his international career, boasting an impressive average of 55 in six T20 matches for Bangladesh. He also brings valuable experience from his 84 List A games, where he maintains an average of 35 with close to 2000 runs.

Bangladesh Squad for the 3rd ODI: Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Anamul Haque Bijoy, Soumya Sarkar, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Mushfiqur Rahim, Tawhid Hridoy, Mahmud Ullah, Mehidy Hassan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman, and Jaker Ali Anik.
