The 16 competing teams were initially divided into four groups, A, B, C, and D. These groups would play each other in league matches.

The twelve-team Super Six stage will be reached by the top three teams from each group later on.

In the super-six stage, top three teams from Group A and D will be featured in a six-team group while top three teams from Group B and C will be put in another group.

The points, victories, and NRR that each team has accrued will be carried over to their fellow super-six qualifying teams.

In the super-six stage, each team will play two matches against opponents from a different group (for example, the AI team will only play D2 and D3 teams while the A2 team would only play D1 teams).

The top two teams from each of the two super-six groups go to the semifinals, where the two victorious teams advance to the championship game.
