Rai Benjamin, the accomplished 400m hurdles Olympic silver medallist, demonstrated his speed and form with a commanding victory in the 400m event, clocking an impressive time of 44.42 seconds at the Mt. SAC relays. This win comes as part of Benjamin's preparation for the upcoming Paris Olympics, where he aims to secure individual gold in the 400m hurdles after narrowly missing out to Karsten Warholm in a thrilling final at the Tokyo Olympics.

Meanwhile, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, the world record-holder and Olympic gold medallist in the women's 400m hurdles, made a quiet return to competition after recovering from a knee injury that forced her to withdraw from the World Championships in Budapest last August. McLaughlin-Levrone participated in the 4x100m relay at the Mt. SAC relays, representing "Team Kersee" under the guidance of renowned US coach Bob Kersee. Her team finished as runners-up with a time of 42.92 seconds, just behind an international squad led by Great Britain's Dina Asher-Smith (42.03 seconds).

In another event at the relays, Asher-Smith competed in the 200m race and secured a third-place finish with a time of 22.80 seconds. The 200m event was won by Julian Alfred from Saint Lucia, who posted a time of 22.58 seconds, followed closely by Ireland's Rhasidat Adeleke in 22.61 seconds. Notably, all three top finishers train together in Austin, Texas, showcasing the caliber of athletes emerging from their training environment.

The Mt. SAC relays provided a platform for these elite athletes, including Benjamin and McLaughlin-Levrone, to showcase their readiness and form as they prepare for key competitions on the horizon, including the Paris Olympics.
