Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina graciously welcomed the Bangladeshi women's cricket team, who will represent their country in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024, at the Ganabhaban, her official house, today in a significant occasion. The purpose of the gathering was to offer support to the athletes who will compete internationally on behalf of the country.
The delegation included notable figures such as Youth and Sports Minister Nazmul Hassan, MP, ICC Chief Executive Officer Geoffrey John Allardice, Bangladesh Women's National Cricket Team Captain Nigar Sultana, and Indian Women's National Cricket Team Captain Harmanpreet Kaur.

The ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to take place in Bangladesh from October 3 to October 20, marking the country's second time hosting the event since 2014. The tournament will feature 10 competing countries, including host Bangladesh, reigning champion Australia, England, and India, among others.
