The fourth edition of the Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi Tournament's trophy will be unveiled tomorrow (Saturday) at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) general secretary and Dhaka Metropolis Police commissioner, Habibur Rahman, will attend the ceremony as the chief guest. Captains from the twelve participating nations and prominent kabaddi officials will also be present.

The tournament, named after Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, will commence on Sunday (May 26). The BKF has nearly completed all preparations to ensure the event's success.

Teams have started arriving in Dhaka, with Malaysia being the first to land, followed by Nepal, Thailand, Poland, Iraq, Uganda, Kenya, and Japan. Korea and Sri Lanka are expected to arrive by tonight. The host team, Bangladesh, champions of the last three editions, is settled in the team hotel.

A total of twelve countries will participate in the tournament, including Poland (Europe), Kenya and Uganda (Africa), Japan and South Korea (Asia), Iraq (Middle East), Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand (ASEAN), and Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh (South Asia). The tournament will conclude on June 3 with the final match.
