Dhaka, having lost the toss, faced early setbacks in their innings. The Lankan opener, Danushka Gunathilaka, retired hurt, and quick wickets of Saif Hasan and Mosaddek Hossain Saikat added to the pressure. However, the duo of Irfan Sukkur and Lasith Kruspulle displayed resilience, contributing 75 runs to the total.
Kruspulle's valiant effort of 46 runs stood out, but after his dismissal at 106 runs, Dhaka struggled to build momentum, finishing with a modest 136 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.Chittagong's response was marked by an aggressive start, with 19 runs off the first five balls in Shariful's over. Despite early setbacks, openers Tanjid Tamim and Shahadat Hossain Dipur orchestrated a crucial partnership of 53 runs. Tanjid Hasan Tamim played a pivotal role, scoring 49 runs off 40 balls, steering Chittagong to victory in 18.2 overs.
Chittagong's victory was sealed by Najibullah Zadran's speedy 32 runs. The bowlers from Chittagong, Billal Khan and Al Amin Hossain, played a key role in restricting Dhaka's batting team, taking two wickets each.
