Brazilian midfielder Jonathan Fernandez and Mohammad Ridoy scored for Abahani, while Police FC got a consolation goal from an own goal by Abahani's Asaduzzaman Bablu. Rabiul Hasan of Abahani Ltd was named the player of the match.
Sheikh Russel KC and Rahmatganj MFS drew goallessly in another game that day at the Bashundhara Kings Arena. With a perfect 15-point record as of right now, Bashundhara Kings are atop the league standings, followed by Dhaka Mohammedan SC, who have eleven points from five games.
