Dhaka, Sep 11 (V7N) – Former Bangladesh cricket captain Khaled Mahmud Sujan has resigned from his position as a director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Sujan, who served the board for 11 years, stepped down on Wednesday around 11 a.m., according to BCB sources.

Sujan had been in charge of BCB's Game Development Department, playing a crucial role in shaping the country's cricketing future. He joined the board after winning the 2013 BCB elections, where he defeated Gazi Ashraf Hossain.

During his tenure, Sujan oversaw major successes for Bangladesh cricket, including the Bangladesh U-19 team's historic World Cup win in 2020 and their victory in the U-19 Asia Cup earlier this year.

Sujan retired from playing cricket in 2006 but remained closely connected with the sport, transitioning to coaching roles, including stints as both assistant and head coach of the national team.

His resignation marks the end of a significant chapter in Bangladesh cricket, with his contributions to both the national team and the development of young talent widely recognized.
