Sept 14, V7N- Lionel Messi is set to return to action with Inter Miami on Saturday after being sidelined for over two months with an ankle injury. Miami's coach, Gerardo Martino, confirmed Messi’s availability during a press conference on Friday, stating that the Argentine superstar had been training well and would be part of the team's strategy for the upcoming match against Philadelphia Union.

Messi suffered the injury on July 14 during Argentina’s Copa America final win over Colombia. Since then, he has missed eight MLS matches and Argentina's recent World Cup qualifiers. Martino expressed optimism about Messi’s return, noting that the team is happy to have the world’s best player back. Miami has already secured a playoff spot for the MLS Cup, and Messi’s return could boost their chances as they approach the end of the regular season.

Miami winger Robert Taylor also commented on Messi's impact, highlighting his leadership and competitive spirit in training, which pushes the team to perform at their best. Taylor is confident that Messi will quickly return to form despite his time off due to injury.

Inter Miami’s regular season will conclude on October 19, with the MLS Cup playoffs beginning the following week.
