SYDNEY, Sept 14 V7N- Juan Mata, the 36-year-old Spanish World Cup winner, has signed a one-year deal with A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers, following his departure from Vissel Kobe in Japan. Mata downplayed concerns about his fitness, stating that despite limited playing time in Japan, he feels confident and ready to make an impact. He had been training with Danish club FC Nordsjaelland in the off-season and is eager to return to the pitch.

Mata acknowledged the frustration of not playing much at Vissel Kobe but emphasized his hunger to continue competing and winning trophies, even at this stage of his career. The former Chelsea and Manchester United midfielder has had a decorated career, winning the 2010 World Cup, the 2012 European Championship, the Champions League with Chelsea, and the Europa League with both Chelsea and Manchester United. Now, he is focused on contributing to the Wanderers' success.
