Sept 16, V7N- England will be without their white-ball captain, Jos Buttler, for the upcoming One-Day International series against Australia as he recovers from a calf injury, with batter Harry Brook stepping in to lead the squad, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Sunday.

Buttler, 34, who is also a wicketkeeper-batter, missed the ongoing three-match Twenty20 series against Australia due to the same injury. That series is currently tied 1-1, with the decider set for later on Sunday.

Additionally, 20-year-old bowler Josh Hull will miss the series due to a quad injury. All-rounder Liam Livingstone has been called into the ODI squad as his replacement, the ECB added.

The first match of the five-game ODI series will be played on Thursday at Trent Bridge.
