PHILADELPHIA, PA Sept 18, V7N— In a thrilling finish on Monday night, the Atlanta Falcons secured a 22-21 victory against the Philadelphia Eagles, thanks to a last-minute touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins to Drake London. With just 34 seconds remaining, Cousins connected with London for a 7-yard score, capping off a remarkable 70-yard drive that took only 65 seconds. The Falcons (1-1) found themselves trailing by six points with no timeouts and just over a minute left on the clock.

After the Eagles (1-1) had a chance to extend their lead with a field goal, Cousins took over and executed a flawless drive, completing key passes to Kyle Pitts and Darnell Mooney to advance the ball downfield.Cousins finished the game with 241 passing yards and two touchdowns, marking his first win since signing a four-year, $180 million deal with Atlanta in March and his first victory since recovering from an Achilles tendon injury last October. Bijan Robinson also contributed significantly, rushing for 97 yards.

The Eagles initially took the lead with a 7-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts to DeVonta Smith, but the Falcons responded with a field goal before halftime. The game saw a back-and-forth exchange of scores, including a 41-yard touchdown pass from Cousins to Mooney that gave Atlanta a brief lead.Despite a late surge from the Eagles, including a rushing touchdown from Hurts and a two-point conversion by Saquon Barkley, the Falcons managed to rally in the final moments.

An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on London pushed the extra point attempt back, but Younghoe Koo successfully converted from 48 yards out to secure the win.Cousins expressed optimism following the game, stating that this victory could be a turning point for the team as they look to build momentum for the rest of the season.
