Düsseldorf, Oct 23 (V7N)- Authorities in Düsseldorf have made a shocking discovery involving a local restaurant known for its controversial menu item, "Pizza Number 40," which allegedly contained cocaine. A police operation led to the arrest of 16 individuals, including the restaurant owner, for their involvement in selling this illicit drug-laced pizza.

According to reports from the New York Post, the police were alerted to the restaurant's activities and arrived on the scene, prompting the owner to hastily dispose of a bag filled with drugs out of a window. However, the bag was recovered by officers, revealing a trove of illegal substances, including 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, marijuana, and cash amounting to approximately $290,378.

Local law enforcement officials have described "Pizza Number 40" as a best-seller, raising serious health concerns over its ingredients and the implications of drug use among patrons. The arrests have sparked widespread media attention, drawing a spotlight on the intersection of food and illegal drug trade in Germany.

Authorities are now conducting further investigations into the operation, and the restaurant has been shut down pending legal proceedings. This case serves as a stark reminder of the lengths some individuals may go to exploit popular trends for illicit gain.
