1. Sheikh Rahman - Georgia State Senate: Sheikh Rahman, originally from Bangladesh, has been re-elected to the Georgia State Senate from District 5 for the fourth consecutive time. A pioneer as Georgia’s first Muslim and Asian senator, he won with a substantial margin, receiving double the votes of his Republican opponent Lisa Badage.

2. Nabila Islam - Georgia State Senate: Nabila Islam has made history as the first Muslim woman elected to Georgia’s State Senate, representing District 7. Winning 46,231 votes against her opponent Gregory Howard’s 37,867, the 27-year-old has secured a two-year term.

3. Masudur Rahman - Connecticut State Senate: In Connecticut’s District 4, Masudur Rahman achieved a historic turnout, amassing over 33,000 votes—the highest in 50 years. The Bangladeshi American senator, originally from Hajiganj Upazila in Chandpur, decisively defeated Republican Steven King.

4. Nurun Nabi - Councilman, New Jersey: Ekushey Padak awardee and Bangladeshi freedom fighter Nurun Nabi was re-elected unopposed as a councilman in Plainsboro Township, New Jersey, marking his fifth term in office.

5. Abul B. Khan - New Hampshire State Legislature: Republican Abul B. Khan won his sixth term as a legislator from Rockingham District 30 in New Hampshire, receiving 2,939 votes against Democrat Bob Allbright’s 1,726 votes.
