The strikes on Kamal Adwan hospital, one of the few remaining functioning health centers in northern Gaza, have caused significant casualties and damage. According to reports, four hospital staff members were killed, and the hospital's surgeons were no longer available to treat patients. The Israeli army's actions also reportedly included storming the hospital, evacuating patients, and arresting several Palestinians. This hospital, along with others in the region, has been severely impacted by the ongoing conflict, with supplies running low and no aid reaching the area for over two months.

The Israeli military operation in northern Gaza, which is aimed at preventing Hamas militants from regrouping, has intensified in recent weeks, forcing thousands of civilians to flee. Human rights organizations have raised concerns about the humanitarian impact, accusing Israel of pursuing policies that could amount to forced evacuation or starvation of civilians, although Israel denies these claims.

The war, which began with Hamas’s surprise attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, has led to significant casualties on both sides, with thousands of lives lost in Gaza and Israel.
