Gulf News reports that Saudi Arabia has cautioned travelers and locals not to participate in the next Hajj season 2024 without the required licenses.

Strict penalties have been implemented, according to the UAE-based daily newspaper on Saturday, to guarantee the system's seamless operation and to reduce any infractions.

In cooperation with the General Directorate of Passports, Saudi officials have imposed harsh penalties on anybody caught breaking Hajj laws.

Without the required permissions, it is against the law to conduct the Hajj and would result in a punishment of 50,000 Saudi riyals, according to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

People who are found on Hajj without the required permissions may potentially face fines of up to 50,000 Saudi riyals.

If found guilty of such offenses, foreign nationals will be deported from Saudi Arabia after serving a six-month prison sentence. They will have a ten-year ban on entering the nation again.

Furthermore, people who break the rules will be publicly discredited by the media.
