Tehran, Mar 07 (V7N) — Iran’s parliament speaker has issued a strong warning to US President Donald Trump, saying he will face consequences for the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
In a speech on Friday, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, said the US president has not yet realized the danger he has created for himself and for American troops in the region.
In a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Ghalibaf wrote, “Trump has not yet understood the danger he has brought to himself and the American troops by killing our Imam. Yet he still wants to impose conditions on a nation.”
He added that Iran had previously shown restraint in dealing with the United States, but warned that the situation has now changed.
According to Ghalibaf, the Iranian people will determine the country’s future themselves. “The proud Iranian nation—not anyone outside—will decide Iran’s destiny,” he said.
The remarks come amid rising tensions between Iran and the United States, raising concerns among analysts about potential escalation and security risks for US forces deployed across the Middle East.
