French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Thursday, June 6, that France will provide Ukraine with Mirage 2000 fighter jets. This decision aims to enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities amidst ongoing conflicts. The news was reported by Reuters.

"As part of the new cooperation, we are going to announce the delivery of the French fighter jet 'Mirage 2000' to Ukraine," Macron stated. "These warplanes will help Ukraine defend its soil and airspace. We are going to launch a program to relocate these aircraft."

The formal announcement is expected on Friday during the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to France. While Macron did not specify the exact number of warplanes to be delivered or the conditions under which they will be provided, he emphasized the significance of this support.

In addition to the delivery of warplanes, Macron mentioned that Paris has offered combat training to approximately 4,500 Ukrainian soldiers, further reinforcing military cooperation between the two countries.
