Kiev, 16 July- Russian forces have launched significant attacks on various military bases in Ukraine, destroying a range of military assets including fighter jets and tank-equipped vehicles, according to a report by Al Jazeera.

The Russian Ministry of Defense released a statement detailing the intensity of the ongoing battles with Ukrainian forces across multiple frontlines. The most substantial attack reportedly took place in the city of Lehman, where Russian forces targeted Ukrainian military camps and air bases, resulting in the destruction of several tanks and armored vehicles.

The Russian military also claimed to have downed a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet during the attacks. In response, Ukrainian forces have reportedly launched counterattacks, although specific details on their operations and the extent of damage inflicted remain unclear.
