Riyadh, August 25 — Heavy rains have triggered flash floods in the Madinah Al-Munawara region of Saudi Arabia, causing significant disruption to traffic and leaving cars submerged in several parts of the area. The news agency AP reported this situation on Saturday, highlighting the severity of the weather conditions.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the National Center of Meteorology in Madinah has issued warnings of heavy rain, strong winds, poor visibility, hail, flash floods, and thunderstorms, particularly in the areas of Al-Hanakiyah and Khaybar.

In response to the ongoing weather crisis, a red alert has been issued for multiple regions in Saudi Arabia, including Taif, Ardiat, Adam, Bani Yazid, and Mesan, due to the heavy rainfall and potential for further flash flooding. Authorities are advising residents to stay indoors and avoid traveling unless absolutely necessary to ensure safety amidst these hazardous conditions.
