Dhaka, Sep 13 (V7N) – Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, announced on Thursday that he will not take part in any further debates with Kamala Harris before the November 5 election. This decision follows recent polls indicating that Harris outperformed Trump in their most recent debate.

Trump made his stance clear on Truth Social, stating, "THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!" This announcement follows his debate with Harris on Tuesday, which came after a previous debate with President Joe Biden in June.

Despite Trump’s claims of a strong performance, feedback from six Republican donors and three Trump advisers, as reported by Reuters, suggested that Harris was viewed as the debate’s winner due to Trump’s struggle to stay focused.

The debate, which was watched by 67.1 million viewers, according to Nielsen data, saw Harris responding shortly after Trump's announcement. She argued, "I believe we owe it to the voters to have another debate."

While Trump asserted that polls indicated his victory, several surveys showed that Harris was considered the better debater. A Reuters/Ipsos poll indicated that 53% of respondents thought Harris won, compared to 24% for Trump. Furthermore, 54% of registered voters felt that a single debate was sufficient, while 46% desired another debate.

According to a CNN flash poll and YouGov, the majority of viewers felt Harris outperformed Trump, with 54% and 31% respectively, while Trump was seen as the winner by only 31% of those surveyed.
