DHAKA, Sept 14 V7N - Dhaka is set to host a significant dialogue as it welcomes a high-level US delegation led by US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu. This marks the first major US delegation visit following the formation of Bangladesh's interim government, under the leadership of Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

During the visit, Donald Lu will meet key officials including Chief Adviser Prof. Yunus, Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain, and Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed. A working lunch hosted by Foreign Secretary Md Jashim Uddin will also be part of the itinerary, attended by representatives from various ministries.

The discussions are expected to cover a wide range of issues, focusing on how the United States can support Bangladesh's economic growth, financial stability, and development goals. The US delegation includes members from the Department of the Treasury, USAID, and the Office of the US Trade Representative.

Assistant Secretary Lu is expected to reaffirm the US's commitment to fostering stability and economic growth in the Indo-Pacific region and advancing bilateral relations with Bangladesh under the new political framework.
