On Tuesday night, a Japan Airlines aircraft burst into flames as it touched down on the runway at Tokyo's Haneda airport.At Haneda Airport in Tokyo, a Japan Airlines aircraft has caught fire. The flames are being put out by firefighters.

Flight 516 from New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido to Haneda Airport in Tokyo is the aircraft, according to Japan Airlines.

According to JAL, after landing, the aircraft collided with what looked to be a Japan Coast Guard aircraft.

As per the airline spokesperson, all 379 passengers and crew members have safely departed.

According to a Japan Coast Guard spokesman, the other jet had six passengers. As it got ready to take off for Niigata to provide earthquake help.

One crew member was evacuated, according to the Tokyo Fire Department, and the other five have been located, though it is unclear how they are doing.

The airline said in media sources that all 379 passengers and crew members were evacuated from the aircraft.

The airline stated, "We are currently assessing the extent of the damage," 

Japan Airlines Flight 516 was expected to land at Haneda at 17:40, having taken off at 16:00 local time (07:00 GMT) from New Chitose airport.

As smoke and flames pour out of the plane, many fire trucks can be seen at the scene on the television footage.
