Two people's burned remains were found by firefighters after a fire broke out early on Saturday in the Mollabari slum of Karwan Bazar in Dhaka.

It was not possible to ascertain the deceased's identity right away.

Around 2:23 in the morning, the slum was completely consumed by fire, according to Anwarul Islam, the warehouse inspector of the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters (media cell).

Thirteen fire departments responded quickly to the scene, putting out the fire at 3:40 in the morning.

Afterwards, two charred bodies were found in the slum by the firefighters. The fire's cause could not be determined right away.
