Dhaka, Nov 04 (V7N)- Another 58 cadet sub-inspectors (SIs) from the Bangladesh Police Academy in Sarda, Rajshahi, have been dismissed due to disciplinary violations during their basic training, according to Police Headquarters' media unit official Inamul Haque Sagar, who confirmed the news on Monday.

This brings the total number of dismissals from the 40th outsider cadet batch to 310. The latest dismissals come just two weeks after 252 cadet SIs were discharged on October 22 for similar infractions. Last month, show-cause notices were also issued to 59 cadet SIs, including these 58, for creating disruptions during training sessions.

The show-cause notices were sent on behalf of the academy's principal and signed by Tarek Bin Rashid, superintendent of police (admin and logistics). Notices went out to 10 cadets on October 21 and another 49 on October 24.

Initially, 823 candidates from the 40th batch were selected as SIs and sent for basic training at the Sarda Police Academy in 2023, with plans for their appointment this month.
