Dhaka, Oct 30 (V7N)- Followers of traditional religions across Bangladesh are celebrating Goddess Jagaddhatri Puja with devotion and festivity. The rituals began on Wednesday (October 29) night with the lighting of lamps and prayers.

Devotees said that the worship started this year on the Shukla Navami Tithi of the month of Kartik. On the opening day, devotees gathered at temples to perform religious rituals, customs, and prayers, spending the day in spiritual observance.

A rural fair has also been organized in temple premises in connection with the festival, adding to the joyous atmosphere. The rituals will conclude on Saturday night with the immersion of the ghat.

In various regions including Patiya in Chittagong and Bauphal in Patuakhali, the idols of Goddess Jagaddhatri have been adorned with creative and colorful themes, attracting large crowds of devotees and visitors alike.
