Dhaka, March 20 (V7N) – Last-minute preparations for Eid-ul-Fitr congregations are underway across Bangladesh, with multiple layers of security and contingency arrangements for adverse weather. Devout Muslims across the country are preparing to celebrate the culmination of Ramadan fasting, offering Eid prayers in congregation and sharing joy with their families and communities.
Sholakia and Dinajpur: Largest Eid Congregations
One of the largest Eid congregations in the country is organized every year at Sholakia Ground, Kishoreganj. This year, the Eid-ul-Azha congregation will be led by Maulana Abul Khair Md. Saifullah, Khatib of Borabazar Mosque, at 10 am. For the convenience of attendees, two special trains will operate from Bhairab and Mymensingh before and after the congregation.
Dinajpur Gor-e-Shaheed Boro Maidan also hosts a major Eid congregation every year. This year, prayers will begin at 9 am, led by Maulana Matiur Rahman Qasemi.
