Dhaka, Nov 27 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has officially published the final results of the 45th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination, recommending 1,807 candidates for appointment to various cadre positions across the country. This announcement was made on Wednesday night through a notice from the PSC’s public relations division.

The 45th BCS notification was first issued on November 30, 2022. The preliminary examination was held on May 19, 2023, with a total of 268,119 candidates appearing for the test. Preliminary results, released on June 6, 2023, saw 12,789 candidates qualify for the written examination.

The written exam took place from January 23 to January 31, 2024, after which 6,558 candidates successfully passed. Of these, 1,807 candidates have now been recommended for appointment to 2,309 available posts in different cadres, including administrative, police, foreign service, and other government branches.

PSC officials highlighted that the rigorous selection process of the BCS ensures that only the most qualified candidates are recommended for public service. The commission noted that appointments will be made following verification and necessary formalities.

The 45th BCS cycle has attracted widespread attention nationwide, reflecting the competitive nature of civil service recruitment in Bangladesh. Experts say the recruitment of these officers is critical to enhancing governance, public administration, and development initiatives across the country.

The final result is expected to be followed by official appointment letters and induction into various government departments in the coming months, completing the recruitment process for this cycle.
