The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has accused the ruling Awami League government of turning the entire country into a battleground by unleashing terror in the form of law enforcers and ruling party 'cadres' to suppress a mass movement. Party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir alleged that the government orchestrated planned attacks on various establishments and blamed the protesters.

Fakhrul urged people to ensure the success of the 'March to Dhaka' programme and the one-point movement of students and the masses, while calling for the 'illegitimate' Prime Minister to step down immediately.

Fakhrul decried the violent crackdown on the non-cooperation movement, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives and promising that the trial of those who killed students and mass people must be held on the soil of Bangladesh. The BNP leader condemned the government's actions and emphasized that the movement will achieve victory despite attempts to thwart it.
