Dhaka, August 12 – After nearly a week without police presence, traffic police officers have returned to key intersections across the capital to manage traffic. Since Monday morning, members of the traffic police have been seen on duty at various crucial points, including the Ramna-Tejgaon area, which is considered a vital traffic hub in Dhaka.

In the past few days, students took on the responsibility of managing the city's traffic in the absence of law enforcement. Even today, in some locations, students are working alongside the police to help restore order on the roads.

The return of the traffic police comes after a period of chaos following the fall of the Awami League government. During this time, numerous police stations, outposts, and traffic police boxes were attacked, vandalized, and set on fire. There were also reports of weapons being looted, which led to widespread panic and casualties, leaving many police stations deserted.

With the situation becoming increasingly critical, students stepped in to manage traffic, ensuring some level of order in the streets over the past few days. Now, with the traffic police back on the streets, there is a concerted effort to regain control and restore normalcy to the capital's traffic flow.
